Pokémon turns 30 this year, and Polaroid is marking it with the brand’s first-ever Pokémon collaboration: 9 limited items built around Pikachu, Sylveon and the Poké Ball, from instant cameras to film and accessories. The Polaroid Pokémon range opened for pre-order in Japan on 26 August 2026 and rolls out to Amazon, Yodobashi Camera and other retailers from 6 October 2026.

The short version

  • The first Polaroid × Pokémon collab: 9 limited items for Pokémon’s 30th anniversary.
  • 3 cameras: the Go Generation 3 Pikachu and Sylveon, and the larger Now Generation 3 Poké Ball.
  • Plus 3 limited films and a Poké Ball strap, album and camera case, rolling out from 6 Oct 2026.

What makes the Polaroid Pokémon collab stand out

It is Polaroid’s first collaboration with Pokémon, and one of the largest collab ranges in the brand’s history, made to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

The Pikachu and Sylveon cameras are built on the Polaroid Go Generation 3, the world’s smallest analogue instant camera, with a selfie mirror and a strong flash, so it travels easily. The Poké Ball edition uses the larger Polaroid Now Generation 3.

Even the darkslide that ejects from each new film pack gets a limited Pokémon silhouette design, so pairing the limited film with a limited camera keeps the theme running through every shot.
